About Newman Management

Terry Newman is a business savvy Leadership & Team Coach who founded Newman Management Consulting after a long career in business to help technical leaders and teams enhance their leadership/team effectiveness and improve business outcomes. She leverages her business acumen and leadership experience from over 25 years in increasingly senior roles in the financial industry–including as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, Vice President at Bankers Trust and at Instinet, an early fintech startup.

Since founding Newman Management in 2012, she has worked with more than 1,200 professionals and senior executives and teams from over 35 countries on 360 feedback, individual effectiveness, leadership and team development, career management, change management, conflict resolution, mindfulness in the workplace, and effective communication. For larger client engagements we partner with a seasoned team of executive coaches and facilitators. Finally, she incorporates mindfulness and meditation into her coaching and facilitation to support resilience and wellness.

Terry served on the Board of Trustees for Barnard College of Columbia University. She is former President of the 35,000 Alumnae Association and was a founding member of the Leadership Council for Barnard’s Athena Center for Leadership Studies. Terry currently serves on the Advisory Board of Girls Inc. New York City. She graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and earned her graduate level coaching certification from Columbia University. While working in the financial industry, she earned FINRA Series 7, 3, 63 & 65.
